Shippers who transport hazardous materials by air are subject to different regulations than those who ship only by ground or vessel. Failure to comply with the standards set forth by the International Air Transport Association, which requires training every 24 months, can result in rejected shipments, costly delays, and injury to passengers and personnel.
Our course is designed to meet the training requirement for air shippers. Using their existing 49 CFR knowledge as a foundation, students will learn how to navigate the IATA DGR and their additional air shipping responsibilities and how 49 CFR and IATA rules work together. This course includes in-depth exercises to reinforce the content and illustrate the real-world applications of the regulations. Students who complete this course will be prepared to classify, name, package, and label hazardous material for shipment by air, as well as complete hazmat shipping documentation.
"Initial" Dangerous Goods Acceptance- following CAT-6 criteria under the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation, we provides an initial three (3) day training course.
